Tasman is a former volleyball student-athlete (1998-2002) who graduated with a degree in Recreation
Administration in Spring 2003. She returned to Sacramento State in Fall 2007 as a graduate student
pursuing a Counseling Masters with a dual focus in Career and School Advising. As a result of her
success on the volleyball court and the support she received from the athletics staff here at Sac State,
Tasman is extremely motivated to give back to the program.
Some of you may recognize her from working behind the SARC front desk last year as a graduate
assistant. This year however, she was able to work with the SARC staff to create a new internship
opportunity assisting our student-athletes. In her new position Tasman will have a variety of
responsibilities this semester, such as academic advising, mentoring, and assisting in the coordination
of our new Student Athlete Career Counseling Program.
In her free time, Tasman enjoys riding her snowboard in the Sierras and swimming in the American River
during the hot Sacramento summers. Raised in the Sierra Nevada foothills with her two brothers and extremely
active parents, Tasman identifies herself as a recreational enthusiast who tends to work hard but plays even
harder.
